scented candles

Sometimes you don’t have to shell out hundreds of dollars to relieve stress.  Sometimes it can be under $20.Relieving stress doesn’t necessarily have to be at the hands of a massage therapist or full-day spa treatment.  Aromatherapy can also alleviate tension caused by life.  It’s as easy as using a specific type of lotion or taking a bath with scented candles burning around you.

Stress relieving fragrances include lavender, chamomile, geranium and rose.

Keep in mind that a one-time use will not completely remove all the stress, but a constant practice will allow you to reap the benefits of aromatherapy.

gift cards

Father’s Day is Sunday and if you have a dad who is rather difficult to shop for, you can’t go wrong with gift cards. Gift cards may seem like they’re impersonal, but in reality, they are a great help.  The recipient can pick out whatever gift they want, so they can avoid the return or you can’t avoid the embarrassment of not knowing your dad very well.

With only a week or so to go, Mother’s Day is coming soon and if you haven’t purchased a gift for mom yet, it might be time to do so.  Surely throughout the years you’ve tried the age old make-breakfast-in-bed and homemade cards, but now that you’re older, you may want to try something that’s a bit sophisticated.

Gift ideas can range from collectible figurines to scented candles to a bath set.  This year, spoil your mom and I’m sure that the next time you ask her to bake a butterscotch cake, she won’t even hesitate to do so.

Blue Parrot BirdfeederThis blue parrot birdfeeder is a great addition to my house. The vibrant color contrast well with other portions of my outdoor and garden decor. It has a lot of personality too, which is a real bonus. I knew when I first saw this that I’d have to get it. My son loves parrots and tropical birds, not to mention birdwatching in general. This got hung right outside his window and he loves it. He tells me there’s nothing quite as relaxing as watching the birds.

For birdhouses and birdfeeders you guys really take the cake, and for less than twety bucks who could have ever guessed?! I’m thrilled about my finds in your store and I just can’t get enough. I’m one of those thrift store addicts and even in those places the products are more expensive than what you’ve got here. Even after shipping I save a bundle in terms of time and money when shopping at Dani’s!

Playful Birds Strawberry PotI saw this decorative pot and knew at first glance that I had to have it.  We’re big strawberry people around my house.  Every year we go to one of the local farms and pick quarts and quarts of strawberries that we enjoy throughout the year.  This small green pot with the red cardinal on top is a great contrast to add to our kitchen and the added bonus of being able to grow our favorite food in it just makes it better.

A couple of my friends have seen this too and I think they intend to get at least one each!  I’ve decided to pick up one or two for my children’s school to put out in their garden area.  They’re one of those really hands on schools.  They have their own school garden for teaching the kids about agriculture and weather.  They’re certain to love this piece!  Even as gift ideas for my entire circle of gardening friends this pot is a real gem.
